Sunday School

Sunday School is at the same time as the Sunday church service (11am on Sundays) and is open to everyone up to the age of 20.  For those too young to attend, child care is provided.

What’s taught in a Christian Science Sunday School?

Principally, the Bible…

First lessons:  the Ten Commandments, the Lord’s Prayer, and Christ Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount.

Next lessons: questions and answers that pertain to the weekly Christian Science Bible Lesson-Sermon.  These discussions center on how these Bible lessons relate to the pupils’ daily life situations. Through this study, pupils become comfortable with many Bible stories and the life experiences of the Bible characters in both the Old and New Testaments.

With a definition of God that is all good, totally spiritual, and entirely loving in nature, students also begin to learn to interpret the Bible’s spiritual message using Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, and to explore more deeply their relationship to God.
